Purple creates a personal Private Area Network (PAN) for each user. They log in once, and all their devices are placed inside a secure, private bubble that follows them around the venue.
Tenant isolation uses VLANs, Dynamic PSK (xPSK), and 802.1X, so even though tenants share the same physical access points, their traffic is completely separated. A student in Room 101 can never see the devices of the student in Room 102.
Users authenticate once via the Purple app. Browserless devices like consoles and smart TVs connect with a unique xPSK passcode, and everything reconnects automatically on return.
The required network authentication step doubles as a two-way communication platform, surveys, location-aware content, notifications, and rewards, delivered directly to residents and guests.
